Doug Ruppel: I graduated from Colorado State University in 1984 with a B.A. in Ranch Management (Animal Science with a couple of accounting courses). Since then I have worked in most aspects of the livestock industry from accounting and finance to purebred operations to commercial cow calf/yearling and feedlot operations. I have work experience on range operations in Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho and Montana on both private and public land. For the last 18 years I have managed ranching operations in Arizona. I currently manage the Babacomari Ranch Company in Elgin Arizona which is a yearling operation running approximately 2,000 head of native yearlings on grass each year.
